GPP - Office of Planning and Policies IFAP - Funding Institute of Agriculture and Fisheries ICNF - Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forest
What roles do these organisation play in each of them?
The GPP is responsible for the policies and regulations planning. The IFAP is responsible for the funding issues. The ICNF is responsible for the implementation and dissemination.
How the monitoring is ensured?
The monitoring is ensured through control actions (administrative and/or in loco) in order to evaluate the implementation of the instrument regulation.
How the compliance is ensured?
Control actions are done by sampling (EU regulation n.º 65/2011)
How is the overall performance of the instrument?
Compliance with the main forest policies instruments at the management level (forest management plans - PGF, forest protection management plans, pest and diseases and Fire - PEIF, PMDCI) is an important condition to achieve significant improvement on forest productivity and sustainibility.
