Description

In Lower Saxony every person has the right to enter the forests for recreational purposes. The entry right is restricted in the case of public events in the landscape and commercial harvesting.

§ 23 Abs (2) 1. excludes new planting sites, thickets, tree nurseries, harvesting areas from free entry rights.

The entry rights also apply to cyclists, horse riders, skiers and wheelchair users. According to §25 Abs (1), cycling is only permitted on public forest roads.
