Description

Brief description of the instrument and its modus operandi

Increase and improvement of cone production focusing on the amount through thinning and pruning and to get support of rural people for conserving of forest areas: for example: pruning starts wwhen trees have 2-2.5 meter, lower branchers pruning and top pruning. lower brunchers pruning: in 2-2.5 height trees 2/3 brunches of all brunches cut.

Which problem the instrument is supposed to solve?

1. pruning of stone pine stands , 2. thinning of the young stands, 3. Reforestation and Rehabilitation of degraded areas .

Purpose or main objective / overall goal of the instrument?

a) Contribute to rural development by increasing pine corns production through thinning of young stands b) evaluating of new optimal areas to establish pine stone stands c) degraded areas would converted pine stone areas if the area has optimal condition for this species

Side objectives/goals of the instrument?

Halting or decreasing the immigration from rural areas to urban areas, improving the forest-forest villagers relationships, and contribution to the national economy

Innovation content or potential of the instrument?

The main aim of the plan is increasing of the amount and quality of pine corn. The instrument does not contain a direct innovation, but the actions inside are intended to increase nut productivity through rehabilitation, thinning, pruning, reforestation. So, this will indirectly affect marketing and innovation sector.

because pine corn production is important for local people, some regulations were accepted for increasing and improvement of cone production with silviculturel operations.
